KIND: Pop Your Bubble

America was growing increasingly divided after the 2016 election. We were realizing quickly that social media was creating echo chambers and dividing us when it was supposed to be connecting us.

We created “Pop Your Bubble”, a social media tool and campaign to increase awareness and drive positive change in accordance with the KIND Foundation’s mission — to foster kinder, more empathetic communities.

This "anti-algorithm" tool matched Facebook users who were most different from them (not more of what they already liked), and in doing so, sparked a national conversation about social media echo chambers.
